Spring breakfast with activated Brazil nuts

Activated nuts can accompany you in many ways in your everyday life and support you in your activities. So that it never gets boring, we have another delicious recipe for you today: a spring porridge with vanilla, berries and activated Brazil nuts. It is wonderfully creamy and fruity: for an energetic start to the day. Make it right away!

What are activated Brazil nuts?

At 2DiE4, we soak our raw organic Brazil nuts in a mixture of spring water and sea salt. This triggers the germination process. The Brazil nut releases all its minerals, trace elements and other valuable ingredients. The subsequent gentle drying over many hours completes the activation process.

Our Brazil nuts therefore offer you a maximum of available minerals and also the inimitable 2DiE4 crunch and an incomparably good taste.

What are the ingredients of Brazil nuts?

The special thing about Brazil nuts is their high content of selenium. This has an antioxidant effect and protects our cells from free radicals. It ensures healthy skin and hair, contributes to normal functioning of the immune system and thyroid gland, as well as sperm production. Furthermore, Brazil nuts provide you with magnesium, potassium, calcium and iron. Especially if you are on a vegan diet, they are a wonderful source of high-quality vegetable protein. Their high fat content of about 50-60% may seem scary. However, they are almost exclusively healthy unsaturated fatty acids. So, enjoyed in moderation, Brazil nuts are very healthy: eat a hand full of Brazil nuts a day and you'll be doing your body some real good.

2DiE4 Recipe: Spring porridge with activated Brazil nuts

This porridge is quick and easy to prepare. For one serving, add 50g of small-leaf oatmeal, 200ml of vegetable drink (e.g. almond, oat or rice drink) and a teaspoon of brown almond paste to a small saucepan. Scrape some pulp from a vanilla bean and add it to the pot as well. If you don't have vanilla bean, you can also use vanilla powder. If you want to sweeten your porridge, you can add some maple syrup or honey.

Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer, stirring, for about 2 to 3 minutes until the porridge is nice and creamy. Arrange the porridge in a bowl and add fresh berries if desired. Thawed frozen berries also work wonderfully.

Finally, chop 2 or 3 Brazil nuts into small pieces and sprinkle them over your porridge. If you like, garnish with a few mint or lemon balm leaves.

And then: close your eyes and enjoy!
