What is a nut subscription?
A nut subscription is a recurring order. You decide once which nuts you want, how many and how often. After that the delivery arrives automatically, and each one is paid with the payment method you saved on your first order.
Perhaps you know the feeling: the bag of walnuts is empty, you notice at breakfast, and a week goes by before you reorder. With a subscription, the nuts arrive before the bag runs out.
The principle is much the same in almost every shop:
- You choose the variety, the size and the delivery interval.
- The first delivery arrives like a normal order.
- After that, the order is placed and paid automatically at the interval you chose.
- You can change, pause or end the subscription on the shop's terms.

Buying organic nuts online: subscription or one-off?
If you eat nuts regularly, a subscription pays off. Guide: how to order your nut subscription in 6 steps
You order the subscription directly on the product page. Using walnuts as an example:
- Open the variety. Go to the product page of your variety, for example Activated Organic Walnuts, or to the Nutrient Pack.
- Choose the size. For single varieties, choose 100 g or 250 g. The subscription price adjusts automatically.
- Select “subscribe & save”. Under “Purchase options”, “One-time purchase” is selected by default. Click “subscribe & save” and the subscription price appears.
- Set the delivery interval. In the delivery field below, choose 4, 8 or 12 weeks. The Nutrient Pack is fixed at 4 weeks.
- Add more varieties. Add every variety with the same option and the same interval to your cart. They then run as one shared subscription and arrive together.
- Go to checkout. At checkout you enter your address and payment method. Both are saved for the following deliveries. You then receive an email confirming that your subscription has been set up.

You handle everything about your subscription yourself in the customer portal, with no email or phone call needed. This is how you get in:
- Open the portal. Go to 2die4livefoods.com/en/a/subscriptions/login.
- Enter your email address. Use the address you ordered with and click “Send link”.
- Open the login link. You receive an email with a link; no password needed. The link shows you every subscription linked to your email address.
In the portal you can:

Important: Changes apply to the next payment if you make them before the date. The reminder email one day ahead is your cue.
How many nuts a day, and which delivery interval suits you?
The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends a small handful of nuts or seeds a day, around 25 g. That is around 700 g in 4 weeks. The table shows how many grams a day each delivery provides:

Why only 100 g of Brazil nuts? Brazil nuts contain a lot of selenium but, according to the DGE, they also accumulate natural radium and should therefore only be eaten in small amounts. 100 g over 28 days is around 3.6 g a day. As a precaution, the DGE advises pregnant and breastfeeding women, children and adolescents not to eat Brazil nuts at all. For them, your own selection of single varieties without Brazil nuts is the better choice.
Can you give a nut subscription as a gift?
Yes. Order the subscription as described above and enter the recipient's address as the delivery address at checkout. Every delivery then goes there. The subscription runs on your email address and your payment method, and you manage and cancel it yourself in the customer portal. For a three-month gift, for example, order on the 4-week interval and cancel after the third delivery.
Nut subscriptions in Austria and Switzerland
Austria: the same prices and shipping rules as in Germany. Free from €49 per delivery, €3.90 below that.
Switzerland: If you order from Switzerland, you see the prices in Swiss francs. 250 g of walnuts costs CHF 19.74 on subscription, the Nutrient Pack CHF 77.66 every 4 weeks. Shipping is free from CHF 79.
