The saying is nicked, I admit it 😉. But what fits for the apple, fits for activated walnuts all the same. Of course, you can not compare apples and walnuts so directly, but both do our health in their own way really good. You don't really believe that? Do walnuts still rank in the "fattening" category for you? Then let us convince you of the opposite! You will be amazed at what the walnut can do! And only the activated walnut! Learn everything you need to know about activated walnuts! You will certainly not want to miss them as a super companion on your way to a conscious and healthy diet!
How activated walnuts can boost your health
During our special 2DiE4 activation process, we carefully soak our hand-picked, raw organic walnuts in a finely tuned water and sea salt mixture and then gently dry them. The phytic acid, which is abundant in raw walnuts, binds many minerals to itself and therefore makes them useless for our body, is broken down during activation. So are the bitter and tannic substances. So when you hold our activated walnuts in your hands, they give you a maximum of freely available minerals and nutrients. They are easier to digest, taste irresistibly good and have a wonderful crunch. Since we do not expose our walnuts to high temperatures at any time, all valuable ingredients are preserved. And there are plenty of them, check it out:
Activated walnuts are a brainfood
As a brainfood, they provide us with B vitamins, which increase concentration and memory and lower stress levels, as well as abundant omega-3 fatty acids. These have an anti-inflammatory effect and are important for the maturation and development of brain structures. In the usual Western diet, there are too many of the related omega-6 fatty acids and too few omega-3 fatty acids. Therefore, walnuts can provide a wonderful balance there. They also contain lecithin, which boosts brain power. There is even evidence that walnuts can prevent age-related diseases such as dementia and Parkinson's disease, and possibly reduce the risk of cancer. This is due to the polyphenols and antioxidants they contain.
Activated walnuts are a heartfood
There is evidence that a handful of walnuts (about 30-40g) a day keeps our blood vessels elastic, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. This is thanks to vitamin E, which has antioxidant and cell-protective effects, and omega-3 fatty acids, which prevent calcification of the arteries. In addition, walnuts can lower cholesterol levels and even reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This is the result of a study conducted by the LMU Munich.
Activated walnuts are a powerfood
Walnuts contain about 15g of protein per 100g. They are therefore a wonderful vegetable source of protein, help build muscle and are an integral part of the alkaline diet (now also read: blog article "Alkaline diet with activated nuts").
And even though they contain a lot of fat (over 60%), they can even help you lose weight! Due to their high energy density, they fill you up quickly. So if you like to munch on something in front of the TV in the evening, reach for your activated 2DiE4 walnuts rather than chips or chocolate! Enjoy them consciously and you will notice that you are already satiated after 6-8 pieces. There is even evidence that walnuts (enjoyed in moderation) can reduce hunger pangs and cravings. In addition, regular consumption of walnuts improves intestinal flora and the fiber they contain supports your digestion.
Activated walnuts are simply a superfood
As if that weren't enough, activated walnuts also provide us with various minerals such as zinc, iron, magnesium, potassium and calcium. Due to the 2DiE4 activation process, the minerals are freely available in the walnut. Your body can use them to the maximum.
